How Revenue Spark Gets Its Referrals

Revenue Spark makes several specific claims — real Utah court filings, checked daily, same-night delivery, category matching, no purchased lists. This page explains the process behind those claims at a level that should be verifiable, without exposing the specific tooling behind it.

The process, step by step

1. Court filing. A new criminal case is filed in a Utah court. This is public record, available through the state's own online case search systems.

2. Data collection. Utah court filings are checked daily for new criminal cases. Each new filing is captured along with its charge information, filing date, and court.

3. Normalization. Charge descriptions from Utah court filings aren't written in a consistent format — the same offense can appear worded differently case to case. Each filing is normalized into a consistent, categorized shape (see what each referral category means for your practice for the resulting categories: DUI, theft, domestic violence, drug offenses, and more).

4. Filtering. Every normalized filing is checked against two things: does its category match what a given attorney has selected, and does its county match too. A filing that doesn't match any subscribed attorney's selections isn't delivered to anyone.

5. Attorney matching. Within a matching county and category, the filing is routed to whichever participating attorneys in that county selected that category.

6. Referral delivery. Matching referrals from that day are delivered that night — see how referrals reach your inbox for the exact format.

Does the process change for other practice areas?

The steps are the same for every practice area. What differs is which party counts as the lead (the debtor in debt defense, the creditor in collections, the petitioner in an estate), whether an address comes from the court record or has to be located separately (family cases), and that personal injury plaintiffs are delivered even though they already have an attorney, clearly marked. See Utah court case leads for every practice area.

What this deliberately doesn't cover

This page describes the process at the level a third party could verify and understand — not the specific software, vendors, or technical implementation behind each step. That's intentional: enough detail to support the claims above, without exposing operational specifics that don't change what an attorney actually receives.

Where the referrals go from here

Referrals are organized by Utah county, and every county is available at signup — see Utah County criminal defense leads for an example county page, or pricing to choose the ones you want.

Frequently asked questions

Does Revenue Spark use purchased mailing lists?

No. Every referral traces back to an actual filing in a Utah court's public case record, not a purchased or aggregated contact list.

How current is the data?

Utah court filings are checked daily, so a referral is typically delivered the same night the underlying case was filed.

Does Revenue Spark access anything that isn't public record?

No. The process works entirely from Utah courts' own public case search systems and other public data sources used to confirm current contact information.
