Premises Liability and Medical Malpractice Filings in Utah
Premises liability and medical malpractice cases are filed in small numbers in Utah courts, and we have not yet opened one to see what the record shows. This post separates what the court says from what we counted, so you know what is verified and what is not.
What does the court say?
From its case type list: a premises liability case involves "claims brought against the owner of real property, alleging the condition of the property to be the cause of personal injury." A medical malpractice case alleges "misconduct or negligence by a person in the medical profession acting in a professional capacity."
How many did we count?
In our own review of one sample week (September 28 to October 2, 2026), premises liability ran about six cases and medical malpractice about four, statewide. That is our observation of one week, not a published statistic, and numbers this small swing from week to week.
What have we not verified?
We have not opened a premises liability or medical malpractice case, so we cannot say whether the plaintiff has an attorney in most of them or whether addresses are listed. In the automobile tort cases we did open, plaintiffs had attorneys; do not assume that holds for these. Revenue Spark marks each lead according to what its case shows.
Who is the lead?
The plaintiff, marked with whether an attorney is listed. Every lead is delivered with a verified address or not at all.
Where does this fit?
Both sit in the injury categories. See personal injury case types in Utah courts, what an automobile tort filing shows, and Utah personal injury case data.
